The Steem blockchain vs everything internet: steems secret agenda to take over the internet

 

 Does the steem blockchain have a secret agenda to take over the internet? Have you noticed how the steem blockchain is into everything internet? From cryptocurrency to social networking to video hosting to music sharing to freelancing. The steem blockchain is stretching its tentacles to involve all the big time niches available on the internet and with that the potential of steem is increasing, if it can just succeed in taking over any of these niches you can imagine what that would mean for steem  

 

STEEM VS OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCIES 

There are over 900 cryptocurrencies at the moment, some have been around for a couple of years. Steem is still young but doing well in my opinion, its hovering in the top 20 cryptocurrencies on coinmarketcap.com, there are a lot of innovations on the steem blockchain and all these can only mean well for steem as a cryptocurrency. Steem might not get to be as pricey as bitcoin in the near future but with all the platforms springing up on the steem blockchain, steem will get so popular in time and its network effect will be second to none. 

STEEMIT VS FACEBOOK/REDDIT

 The most popular social networks like Facebook, reddit etc have been around for atleast 9-10 years, steemit is just about a year old and is already making waves, steemit has an edge over these networks because it enables its users to earn directly through their post and engagement activities, other social networks can only assist a user earn if a user can pay for advertisements or is able to redirect substantial amount of traffic from there to their personal websites or to advertisement networks that pays per lead/sale. Its easier to make money on steemit from day one, as awareness of steemit increases so will its user base and in a few years to come steemit should be a force to reckon with in the social network industry. 

DTUBE VS YOUTUBE

 Youtube has dominated the video uploading/sharing niche for as long as its creation.that would be because its parent company GOOGLE runs adsense and has tailored hosted adsense to carter to just monetization of videos on the youtube platform. This has given it incredible success in the video uploading/ sharing niche but now YOUTUBE has a worthy competition and itS on the steem blockchain. Shoutout to Hive account@heimindanger for inventing DTUBE. DTUBE is just about a month old but its popularity is soaring, its potential to give youtube a run for its money cannot be disputed. Just read a post by Hive account@kevinwong where a popular youtuber with over a million subscriber, cloudfusion, is openly acknowledging steemit and dtube as worthy competition to reddit and youtube respectively. 

 DSOUND VS SOUNDCLOUD 

Another exciting development on the steem blockchain In the music and podcast streaming niche was announced just yesterday. Following in the footsteps of Hive account@heimindanger, Hive account@prc has put dsound on the steem blockchain, dsound lets users earn steem by uploading and sharing music and streaming audio. Still in the development but functional stage, this interface on the steem blockchain will in time compete with the likes of soundcloud which is now dominating that niche. 

 STEEMGIG VS FIVVER/UPWORK 

Steemgig is just a tag on steemit right now but it can be developed into a freelancing platform on the steem blockchain ( Hive account@surpassinggoogle I would like your take on this). The concept of steemgig even as a steemit tag has huge potential to do very well if we all patronize it. We have steemit users with skills from all over the world. programmers, web designers, web developers, writers, etc just to mention a few . so in that regards its no different from the freelancing platforms like fivver, upwork and the rest of them. We just have to recognize the potential of steemgig and realize that if we support it, it can do as well as those established freelancing sites out there.

 CHAINBB VS WARRIORFORUM

 Chainbb is an experimental forum built on top of the Steem blockchain that is developed by Hive account@jesta, it’s a wonderful idea and needs our support in terms of using the platform more to take it to the next level. Not everyone can write long post and also posting the forum style would carter to people in such category.
