Yes, I do have a FB account, and I did take a 4 month break from FB, which served me well as I don't waste nearly as much time just browsing useless posts, constantly getting notices that so and so updated their status... generally leading to me feeling like I just wasted more moments reading about a friend's upset of the day... Obviously social media is part of our lives these days, but how we engage in it is a choice for sure.
I am new to crypto as well. A friend got me to set up my 1st wallet back in the end of Feb., 2017, gifted me $5.00 and told me to just watch it. I finally began to buy a some Bitcoin as I can, partially as a long-term investment, and primarily as a 'storage of value' although I have read that it should not be considered solely as such. Still, I feel safer having value in a something like Bitcoin over a savings account.
Once I got my head around Bitcoin and my own hardware wallet, started to educate myself, etc. of course I came upon Steemit. So, here I am writing my 1st post to the Steemit community, to show ya'll I am real. I even used my 5 year old twin niece and nephew's color scratch paper to make my sign. Scratching color was a fun little activity.
OK, what will I be posting about? Most likely travel, India, meditation, medicinal plants & herbs. These are the things which consume much of my life and look forward to sharing here.
I find this community and concept fascinating and look forward to break through once I 'get this' in a little bit more solid way.
Would love suggestions, etc. and I am assuming getting connected with Steemit chat would be a next step as well.
