The Russians have decided to spin their own copy of Steemit, called "Golos" ("Voice"). In fact some of our accounts are already on their network with our September account balances.

Would you try to login with your Steemit password on the Golos network (which you can do, if your account was ported), or do you fear that your Steemit account may be compromised by Russian hackers?
As far as I understand, they've decided to link their new social currency to gold, not the US dollar, as it has been historically more stable. Of course, the idea of the developers is not only to create a Russian version of Steemit (which is a much smaller market than the English speaking world), but to get rich by emitting (mining) the bulk of the initial cryptocurrency.
Do you think Golos is just a get rich scheme, which will benefit only a couple of people, or do you think that free thinking Russians finally understood the value of a non-censored media in promoting a democratic society, and will risk getting in trouble with their authoritative government for protecting their country's future?
Would you repost your Steemit content there, as you would get the chance of becoming a Golos whale, by entering at the very beginning?
I'd love to hear your comments!
p.s. At the moment the site is down again - I guess the developers are having trouble. The official launch is scheduled for today, at 14.00 Moscow time (something like 12.00 in the EU and 5.00 in the US).
