For the past month or so, I have been reasonably consistent with my blog posts.
As you know, it takes time and effort to be consistent here. But with the right focus, it can be very rewarding both personally and financially.
In a very short time, I have already been to my first Steemit meetup in Hanoi, made lots of new friends and generated a decent income.
I love most of the community here. The ones that are being themselves, contributing and giving to others shine through all the greed.
Who can answer this?
Why do people on Steemit comment on your post, then not even upvote you? It makes no sense to me.
Typically their comments are generic and possibly bots, adding no value to the post. However, some expect a follow and upvote.
I will always upvote someone's comment if they upvote my post. I believe it's the least I can do. I have voting power, so why be greedy!!! This is what Steemit is all about.
It's not just about posting. It's also about engaging with the people who follow you, and the people that you follow and sharing the upvotes.
The way I do it
I do my best to find, comment and upvote content I enjoy. If It's not to my interest, I will save my upvote for something I do like.
I usually find them on my busy.org feed. This is easier for scrolling through the latest posts. It's nice and clean with an easy to use interface.
Signing up to busy.org gives you a sexy interface to use for Steemit, and if you post from there, you will receive an upvote from them. Just tag #busy when posting.
When commenting on someone's post, I try to at least reference the posts content. This shows the author I read it!
It's not rocket science
Give more, and you will get more from Steemit.
To everyone that has followed me, commented and upvoted on my posts, thank you!
You keep me motivated knowing you are enjoying my content.
Keep it real
Derek
