I discovered Steemit last week and I didn’t give too much thought about it, I just wanted to try it out. Made a couple of articles that didn’t get any money, but I didn’t give up.
My chance was that I came across an article of Richard known as who made an article about giving steem dollars to new steemers, so I took this chance and asked for his help. In return he gave me a lot of advices, which helped me in getting 560 USD for a new introduceyourself post, than mentioned me in his article and also got me a reward. Than I saw he helped many steemers to grow. Thank you, Richard!
What I've learned
When you create your introduceyourself post, don’t forget to add a photo with you holding a sheet which says: steemit and the date. Or place a link for Facebook/Twitter etc. If you don’t do this, you won’t get support from another steemers, because you don’t seem trusty. Also, I started adding at the beginning of my posts a phrase saying that my content is original.
A while ago I made an article with 10 posts you might have missed and in my research I’ve found a lot of posts plagiarized. What I know is that whales and not only them, know when you have copied your content from a third party.
You are here because you want to make money and they are not for free. Please spend a little time to create something original!
Being summer we don’t have enough clients for our business, so not much work to do. At least that’s how it was last week. As I started writing on Steemit, I also started feeling better. Wanted more clients, didn’t get any, but at least I was doing something productive. Now I’ve got clients and a lot of work to do: promoting gifs, editing photos and designing a logo. I kinda don’t want to get back to work, but I have to. I’m writing this as I’m waiting for my client to give me his feedback so I can finish one gif.
As a pretty new steemer, I advice you to never give up! If you have posted good content and didn’t get any money, than try asking for help. Here, on steemit people are very eager to help, as well as the whales.
Also, if you are not in slack, ask a friend to promote your post on your behalf. I asked to post them for me and I got some attention thanks to him. This is the best option until entering slack will be again available for new steemers.
Getting back to work... though I'm pretty lucky that I don't always have to work at the office, so today I'm working from home.
Good luck!
