Not the usual Saturday evening activity for me, to check out the crypto prices, but this time something stood up. As you can see, STEEM gained more 2k satoshis in less than an hour, and is now trading significantly over the opening value:

What's even more interesting than that is, for once, the surge in STEEM price is not driven by an SBD pump. Even if SBD followed through with STEEM, for a while, it's clear that it wasn't the change driver this time.

My personal opinion is that a big buyer just entered STEEM. I don't expect the price level to hold, but even if it's just one big buyer entering STEEM, I find this rather encouraging.
