During the last few hours STEEM appreciated more than 13%, which makes it the fourth most appreciated currency today, according to Coinmarketcap:
STEEM also rose 3 positions in the overall crypto top, making it again in the first 50, currently on the 48th position (before this pump it was on the 51st place).
The increase seem to be consistent all over the place, with an overall volume of more than $2.5 million. On an average day, STEEM trading volume was just under $1 million recently.

I have no idea what caused the pump, other than an early Santa visit, but, given the depth of the bear market we've been in since the beginning of the year, I'll take one of these early Santa visits any day.
