I mostly wanted to make note of this because I missed it, and it was who pointed it to me the other evening (yes, we're sometimes spending parts of our evenings watching Coinmarketcap evolutions, which, under certain conditions, can be more exciting than action movies).
Both cryptocurrencies are hovering around 1 and a half billion USD market cap, which is astonishing, for projects launched just 2-3 years ago. Also, it's worth noting that just a year ago, a market cap over $1 billion would have guaranteed a place in top 10.
Well, not anymore.
On a side note, it's a bit concerning that projects with nothing more than a white paper and a shitload of marketing money thrown at the naive cohorts of crypto fans, are riding the top 10, while established projects, with battle-tested technologies and a real user base, like Steem and BitShares, are sitting below top 30.
Well, I guess naivety has its price. And it's a very high price to pay, IMHO.
