It's not every day that you see Steemit featured on Bloomberg, but when you see it, it's featured in an optimistic tone.
Today, actually a couple of hours ago, Bloomberg ran a story about Steemit, including comments from users like and a few statements from
itself.
The feature was part of a bigger story depicting the more and more obvious "disruption hole" that blockchain is carving in the "traditional web media", like Facebook or Twitter. Sorry, but it feels odd to name Facebook and Twitter "traditional". But it's also true.
The whole story can be read here and my personal takeaway from it is this one:
Tokens are a big reason why two-year-old Steemit already has about 100,000 content creators, according to Chief Executive Officer Ned Scott. It just broke into the top 1,000 of the web’s biggest sites, according to tracker Alexa.
Now, really looking forward to the days when Bloomberg will be excited about being mentioned on Steemit...
