Heavy is the cross I bare;
In the heavy sand of insanity I pull my feet,
Through the desert of happiness I wander;
I thirst for waters of hope in a land desolate of any,
The sky is all blue: no sign it will ever rain here,
Yet, oh lord, I seek sanity.
Still I pull my fit up the sandy hills of life’s journey
Trying to reach the visible but distant city I head to.
No oasis, no nimbus in the sky, the city appears,
But never nears!!
Heavy is the cross I bear,
In this desolate desert I wander…
Give me hope; tell me it will ever rain here,
Oh rather, Calvary is too far, let me fall here!!
