Huge shout out and thanks to all of my followers! I recently hit a huge goal for myself and reached 3,000 followers not too long ago. I just wanted to make a quick post to express my gratitude and hopefully keep passing on some information like I always try to do.
For this post, I want to stress on TWO major things that I have discovered (well, reiterated and reinforced) -- Interactions and quality content!
I feel like we may have all know these two, but let me hit harder with them.
Quality Content
This one is pretty important (well, both are), and without it, you won't achieve much success here. Indeed, quality is subjective to us readers. However, I must note that if you wouldn't like or upvote it yourself (will make a post about this concept later), why the heck are you making it? For example, I recently saw a post from someone who posted ONLY a crappy picture of a shopping cart at the mall. There was no artistic nature, color, positioning, etc... from it. Simply, it gave off the persona of someone wanting to try to hard to get a post. Anyway, focus on things you have to share. What can people learn or how can they be entertained? We're on this platform for both of those reasons, so work on it.
Interactions
I always try to work on interacting with as many people as I can. I like interacting with the new Steemians and engaging with them and their posts. It makes the site enjoyable and promotes a welcoming spirit. Besides the newbies, I like interacting with the regulars too and just want to interact with everyone. We all must share ideas here. That's how we grow, learn, adapt, etc. Please, please, please, interact with each other! Also, if you're going to interact, make sure it's positive or worthwhile. Definitely leave out the "come up vote my post" comments. Be positive and great things will come.
Ok well that's enough for now. Just wanted to briefly make a shout out and share two of the major things I've learned over the last 1,000 followers. Continue to work hard and stay focused. Thanks again for all the love and support and I look forward to more interactions with you all here on Steemit!!!
