Very interesting metaphor! But yes since Steemit is based on a Game theory (and therefore evolution) and capitalism, it cannot go any other way. We just need to make peace with it and find our places where we can bring additional value and increase the stake of everyone else...or the very opposite?:)

I for one would like to see action prior to the rise of the competition for the sake of my stake:D
