Thanks for discouraging plagiarism, . Plagiarism is stealing other people's works. This includes photographs, though. I'm not sure why you say using photographer's or individual's images from the web is okay. I always take my own pictures. Why should you get to use someone else's photo just because it's easy to cut and paste it? If you leave your keys in your car, should I just drive it away?
Also, you shouldn't even be stealing short complete sentences from Wikipedia as in your example. That's plagiarism as well.
Hopefully someone will develop a blockchain solution that tracks people's original works better so that people can't just copy and paste for their own gain.
Until then, we should be vigilant and report abuses, and not reward offenders. This will help ensure Steemit's success and good reputation.
