How will the new #steemit referral system work, and when will it start working? @ned & @dan

I would like to hear a bit more about the Steemit Referral program and how the #steem reward or #SBD reward will work. I am already pulling in a lot of people from all kinds of social media, so I am very curious about this, and I am sure other #steemit users as well, so if you could enlighten us on this topic it would be sweet! :)
