I'm fairly new to the crypto land in an active, more informed sense.
Today, May 14th, starts the Consensus 2018 event in New York City.
For me the 2018 Consensus is the first I follow. Such events are meant to bring more clarity and direction to the entire crypto world, and are always received with much hype.
Predictions are being made about the possibility of a consistent bull run generated by the event, based on historical data and the interest around the current Consensus.
Maybe some of the predictions are simply hype, and history may or may not repeat itself, but we can't ignore an important factor that is tied up significantly with Consensus events, from what I've read.
During and after it, many crypto projects receive the funding they need to push forward, and if that's not a valid reason to think this will have an important positive effect on the prices, I don't know what is.
Anyway, I looked at the agenda for today, and here's what I discovered:
Ned Scott is one of the panelists of the topic "Content Monetization and True Net Neutrality" which starts at 2:20PM, NYC time.
There you go! Steem is represented in the crypto event of the year, and not merely for the mingling part (which is very important!), but also for the scheduled talks.
