I received my very first, troll-like comment on Steemit. I kind of expected the Steemit bot to give me an award. This was a first.
You just knew it had to happen sooner or later. I was silly to think this was the new utopia of politeness. After all, Steemit, like any other platform, is made up of humans just like me. And, like me, they are emotional, compulsive beings.
Today, I was called a snowflake by a complete stranger who didn't care for my blog about procrastination. Go figure. This person also tossed in a few insults about my daughter, too. A real winner, through and through.
I engaged for a minute and then realized I was in over my head with a person full of bitterness. I thought for a second I was back on Twitter again.
Kind of odd. This account that attacked me was brand new, worth about 50 cents. Makes you wonder, eh?
Either way, Steemit offered me the chance to hide this person from my feed so I did. I just thought it interesting because I had just bragged about how polite the comment section is on Steemit.
Meh. It is what it is. No platform is perfect but I am still "all in" on Steemit. Can't let one bad experience run you off, right? As far as my troll, I'll take my tests as they come. Without a test, you've got no testimony.
