I have been here on Steemit for at least 11 months. I have not skipped a day. I have worked very hard to build followers and to bring some quality posts. I do this daily. I have gone through all the changes on Steemit. I have had good payouts and I have had low payouts. I have met wonderful friendly people. I have met people here that I can call my friends, even though I have never met some of them.
I know that there are still many changes coming on this platform, and I am willing to adapt. Steemit has given me the opportunity to send my son to University and up to date I have NOT made any loans. I know that I have said this before, but I will be forever grateful for and
for this brilliant platform.
Steemit has become my second income, and as a teacher, I definitely need a second income...BUT for many people Steemit is their ONLY income, and after the latest Hardfork, things have been tough. I am not talking about young people that can actually still go and find a job to support themselves.
I am talking about the Senior citizen community here on Steemit!!!
There are some brilliant writers on this platform, and they totally rely on their Steemit income. They are NOT lazy to go and find a job, they are just NOT the right age to go and work. Senior citizens can change this platform because they are wise, and they've been around the block.
Although they might be technologically impaired; there are quite a few Steemians here currently on Steemit that honestly NEED support. Some of them have grown with this platform and I believe that they are a great asset to this platform. Steemit gives many of them the opportunity to share their wisdom and we might really learn something from them.
If you know of any steemians older than the age of 60 please comment here and send the name of the member. I would like to compile a proper list of everyone over 60 years of age, and then see if we can't find a better way to support them.
Steemit has helped me out of very difficult situations, so it is time to give back! I would really like it if some of my fellow steemians could support me in this new venture. If you are willing to support or have any ideas, please leave a comment and we can get together and make a plan!
