To Celebrate or Not To Celebrate That Is The Question?
After one month on Steemit I wrote a post celebrating my first 100 followers and how excited I was to get them.
Little did I think that when I made it to a 1000 I would feel that I could hardly be bothered to post about it. But that's the way it is.
Late last night I crossed the 1000 mark but so many of those "followers" are actually spam accounts or, if human, still on 25 that it makes a nonsense of the number.
However, I am very grateful to all the genuine people following me and, especially to those who engage with me on a regular basis.
Without you, I just wouldn't be here. Simple as!
And without you I wouldn't have reached another milestone yesterday, and this one I'm really proud of . . . 10,000 POSTS!!!!
Yep. You read that right. 10,000.
Now that is something I can really get behind in celebrating. 😁
Now, since the majority of those posts are actually comments, I really do need to sincerely thank all of you who have engaged with me and/or have written great posts that I wanted to engage with. I simply couldn't have done it without you.
Heartfelt Thanks To All Of You
💙 💛 💜 💚
There are too many of you to mention individually here but I would like to give a special thanks to for creating and running the Engagement Leagues.
The quality of people I have met through participating in the Leagues is second to none and has kept me engaged and interested.
The delegations I received for being an active participant were a big help in getting me to 500 SP and a big motivator.
Asher's rules 😂 have kept keep me away from self-voting and using bots which makes my achievements even more valuable to me and just goes to show what you can do by good, honest engagement.
👏 🏆 👏 🏆 👏
Now then, since it seems like I've decided to celebrate after all, I'm going to follow in the foot steps of many great Steemians who have gone before and I'm going to organise a giveaway.
This will be in support of another great project which is ultimately run in support of you.
It's called Dust Sweeper and, if you don't already know about it, it is a joint project run by and
and is supported and operated by witness
.
It enables newbies and minnows to get paid on the votes they already have but that would normally be turned to dust (and thus lost) because they don't meet the payment threshold of 0.02c.
It works by automatically upvoting your eligible posts/comments just before payout and it's not about making a profit for itself.
I've been signed up a few weeks now and I love watching all the votes in GINA that I now get paid for which would, in the past, have turned to dust. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I'm going to make up to 40 donations toTo be eligible to win you must have left at least 5 comments on my posts, before this one and you need to be a minnow or below.
To enter, leave a comment saying you want to be one of the 40 and I'll make the donation on your behalf, until all 40 spots have gone.
Please be patient though as it may not be until after June 17th as I'm going away today and won't be back until then.
Have a great week and remember . . .
