A Call For The Youths/Minnows To Embrace The Challenges Of Success As It Comes.

Success lies in your hands and you become what ever you make yourself to be. To understand that gratitude does not come in big but in small things is wisdom on its own, made only for those who understand life.The youths are the leaders of tomorrow that is why every parent wants a great future for each one but what ever you make out of your life is what you become, with or without your parents.

I was going through some posts and saw this Hive account@mikefrancis lamenting bitterly of how he got into steemit and is not getting any upvote from the whales, mentioning some of them he pointed out Hive account@smooth, Hive account@barrycooper, Hive account@dollarvigilante and Hive account@ned, with his use of hateful and heavy language I got really sad and disappointed at the same time. At first I read down some comment and found out that he was flagged as well because of his manner and choice of words I guess.

After reading his post I felt sick of the way some youth/minnows reason and their quest for‘quick money’ which I call in pidgin (sharp sharp money). With his kind of outburst I felt it was uncalled for and that he was just being childish and unreasonable because I don’t think steemit is where you can just come and start earning as much as you want. A person like that lacks insight and certain understanding about life as a whole.

A whale mentor Hive account@infovore granted me the privilege of asking him a question about how he remained here as one of the tops and he said through consistency. I was happy because one can learn great things through the masters. To be realistic, there can be frustrations and annoyance especially when things are not going well as expected, the money is not paying out on time just when you need it, but there is always a chill pill to take with more effort and hope for the best.

I wrote this not only for the minnows here on steemit but for every youth out there, so I would really appreciate it if this message is carried out to those that are not opportune to get it straight form here. As a youth/minnow you have to follow some of these tips in order not to be confused about certain facts so that you will not have limitations towards success both here and the world at large.

What is your Attitude like?

I get to talk so much about attitudes every time because it is the only thing that can get one higher or lower in life. According to Zig Ziglar and I quote, “your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.” Meaning that no matter what you have but lack the right attitude, then you are going no where in life. I will continue to campaign for a right attitude because that is key. In respect to Hive account@mikefrancis, if the right attitude was there, I don’t think the time wasted on writing and posting such about people who sweat through to get to the point where they are was worth it. I mean; respect is reciprocal, if anyone wants it, then he must be willing to give it. If such energy was channeled at a positive post trust me you would really be smiling with lots of $$$ by now.

Steemit is not a charity organization

I don’t think I have read anywhere that steemit is a charity organization. Therefore; it means that this is a place for work and not pleasure. You can not plant cocoa and reap yam, what ever you give in is what you get in return. Most people do not care about what they post, how it will affect the reader positively or negatively. Some people are regular customer to Hive account@cheetah and are known plagiarists. How I so wish our minnows can be dedicated and patient while putting in efforts.

Nobody has to force you to be successful.

Success is a thing of the mind and only the brave gets there. Gratitude goes a long way; it doesn’t have to be in big things but rather in small things. The things you reject might be someone else’s best. I take myself as a good example, as for now steemit is my major source of income , but then another man can not come and talk ill about it because you feel you are not getting the best out of it… No! There is dignity in labor and as the saying goes in Pidgin: na where you dey work, na there you go chop (literally: you eat from the labor of your hands). Hence, wherever you find yourself just make the best use of that opportunity because there are so many people that are yet to discover that road you are about to close.

Never give up

When ever a man gives up it means that man is dead, therefore the only time it’s allowed is once six fit below. Apart from that, as long you are alive there is still hope. No matter what you are doing or you feel you are not good at yet, there should not be any reason why you should not improve at it. If you feel you are not there yet, then never top trying and always be optimistic. Hard work pays, never allow your mind or anyone play a trick on you that it doesn’t.

Conclusion

This post was motivated by a movie I saw on how as a youth you can always pick yourself up and choose the way to success after so many challenges and oppositions, then I linked it to Hive account@mikefrancis. My message to every youth/minnow here is that nothing good comes easy and there is nothing that is not achievable. Success is not an accident, It takes time but it comes with dedication, hard work, consistency, studying, sacrifice, right attitude and most of all love for what you are doing or learning to do well.

I cease this opportunity to say that Hive account@mikefrancis should be forgiven and be given another chance as well. I also want to apologize to the whales and dolphins and all those he mentioned and I say a very big ‘I am sorry’ on his behalf, without you whales the minnows are nothing. If not for anything but the little we learn from you. We are just beginners and are bound to make some silly mistakes along the line. Thank you as always for your wonderful supports and we hope to get more of that too.

There is no easy way to success. Love what you do with passion and you will surely excel through it.
