Here is my honest opinion. While the future of Steem is looking bright, the future of Steemit is not looking good. Every month, new websites interacting with the Steem blockchain are announced. Some of them are not that interesting but others (mostly professionally made ones) are ahead of Steemit in every category. I'm thinking of websites like Busy which in my opinion is 100 times better than Steemit. In my opinion, for Steemit to survive it would have to drastically change its interface or start acting as some kind of prettified Steemd.
