So of course a lot of us have gotten addicted to steemit recently. I certainly have.
I deleted my Facebook account awhile ago, and I never got into Reddit. I was a 4chan sort of person, but then that got all censorshippy, so I moved elsewhere. But I wasn't satisfied. I just felt like I didn't have a community that was right for me.
Until now. Writing is something I love, but I also love ideas, science, philosophy, art and more! And getting paid to write about those things. Paid by the people, so I can write what I want, rather than paid by some drone who just wants to market a product or something boring.
So now I've been writing a lot of posts on steemit. Sure, your posts lose value after the 4th one in a day, but I don't care! I just love writing so much that I can't stop!
But is the time spent worth the money? We all celebrate making fifty cents or even five dollars from a nice post, but is it enough to justify the time being spent here? It's not exactly a secret that a job at McDonalds will pay more per hour than steemit. Of course steemit is more fun than working at McDonalds, but even so...
I must ask you: Is it worth it?
Is the profit from steemit worth the time you spend writing for it?
