I was on holidays for May 1st bank holiday and could not publish my usual monthly roundup of newbies in time, so here it is! To be honest April has not been the best of months. Among the thousands and thousands of spam accounts, I was only able to find a few accounts standing out. Here is my third installment of a monthly post I intend to dedicate to the most interesting newbies to join Steemit in the last thirty days. Considering the amount of fake profiles which is flooding Steemit, I think we could all do with a quick close-up on some of the most worthy profiles :) Bear in mind that this is just my own partial list. I could not revise ALL profiles, and I focused on the interesting profiles which didn't hit the jackpot right away. Gave them a chance!
Let's start with the musicians!
Hive account@lauriane is from France and is a music fanatic, who made an awesome introduction video, both thorough and funny :-) You have seen probably some of her cover songs on my feed! She rocks, that's all I need to say, go follow her!
Hive account@dayneherndon is a music producer and generally complete artist who can treat us with some personal work, not only in the field of music, but also he has some nice drawings to catch your attention!
Speaking about artists and creative people
Hive account@beinart is a an Australian curator for an art gallery and he has some awesome professional art and drawing to show off, far from the "dreaded algorithms" of FB and Instagram as he says :) So, I hope you'll find your dose of art in his feed! It's great!
Hive account@kaganovic (or Nastya if you prefer) is also an artist who is great with drawings, digital, and also with arts and crafts inspired by nature and folk tales :) No doubt it can bring a smile to you when it will show up in your feed!
Hive account@natalieavila is a Colombian student who has also a few great drawings to share! Apart from that, I can't wait to see and read more about her awesome country! Show her some love people!
Of course, no good "newbie alert" list can be complete without at least one Venezuelian, so many of them having joined Steemit, my pick of the month will be for
Hive account@mariandreapf who has some amazing skills as well!
The onee I don't know how to classify
Hive account@dwm (or David) is a former US military who has become an expert in philology and myths history. He has obviously an immense curiosity, and is fascinated by the myths and their influence even nowadays :) And anyone mentioning the Odyssey in his introduction is a friend of mine instantly!
Hive account@emma-anna is a content editor and copywriter from Amsterdam who had the genius idea to mention that she likes cats and beers. What's not to like, people? I bet you will follow her right after reading her goofy introduction and will stay for the good vibes :)
Speaking of good vibes, there were plenty of them in the video introduction of
Hive account@mariemili, who is obviously very comfortable in front of a camera and can steal the show with her quick wit, her curiosity and her smile :) I bet she is going to be a star of Dtube in no time!
Hive account@ayunknown has only one introduction post so far and not much more, but she looks like a Steemit version of Mr Robot's Elliot, if you know what I mean. As soon as she gets her bearings, I think we will be in for some crazy posts and points of views :) Welcome to her!
Last but not least, a month of newbies would not be complete with a yoga fan/teacher! Well, guess what, here is
Hive account@lorenayogini to you for the rescue with psychology, relaxation, peace and zen :-) We all need that in those crazy times, right?
THAT'S IT FOR APRIL! WHAT ABOUT YOU, DID YOU FIND AN INTERESTING NEWCOMER YOU'D LIKE TO TALK ABOUT? FEEL FREE TO SHARE!
