Control What You Can Control
Let's admit it. As humans we have a tendency to want to control things. But the reality is that there are tons of matters that we just have no say in. We can only control what we can control. This is something I usually live by. But I forgot this important lesson about 2 weeks ago when I gambled away about 2 weeks of my earnings from Steemit. What a bonehead move.
Before I lost money I had won close to $500 playing a virtual game of rolling dice on Steemdice. Well I had lost that in a matter of days after winning all that money. It stung like bees and cold wind at first. But then I knew it wouldn't be long before I had made the money back so I got over it.
I'm nearly recovered from the lost but what I took away from losing that money was even more important. I know to remain focused on that which I can control and leave the rest alone. Trust me it is much less stressful that way. This is coming from someone who used to worry so much it would make me feel nauseated.
You can win BIG gambling but you can also lose even BIGGER. Quick money usually doesn't last as they say. Lesson learned and now I have moved on. Now it's back to stackin the SBDs and marching towards my financial freedom goals and via Steemit/Dtube. I wanted to share this with you in hopes to encourage you to stop worrying about the things you can't control and focus on that which you can. It's funny what lessons can be learned from making such unwise decisions. Much love and peace to everybody.

Have you ever lost money gambling?
Do you feel the need to control everything?
