Sharing thoughts, information and communicating with each other is one of the most important things that people can do.
Sharing knowledge and experiences helps everyone learn and it promotes initiatives that are better and more efficient than those we currently have in place.
One of the things that many of us have noticed is that we have many former Witnesses out there.
Many questions come to mind, the one that always seems to need an answer is WHY?
Rather than worrying about why certain people vote for inactive Witnesses, I personally would much rather understand the reasons for people giving up on running a Witness server.
Apart from the obvious financial aspects, I am sure that for some of the people it was probably a compilation of reasons.
I am using this post to call out to all the former Witnesses. In the hope to open up a dialogue with people who are willing to share their experiences and express their opinions and views about their former Witness servers and more so to the point as to WHY they decided to put a halt to it.
and other things too, such as:
How do you feel about the fact that your dead server is still listed on the server list?
What are your thoughts on the idea that servers that are dead for over 90 calendar days should simply be erased off the list and their votes reset to zero?
Are there any suggestions that you wish to put forwards?

Why is it that I wish to touch on a topic that hasn't been entered into this way before?
I am rather concerned about the fact that we have well over 250 former Witnesses among the top 400 and I would like to better understand.
Based on many discussions about these topics, I believe that many Steemians would like to better understand this too.
Yet I have not seen any one conversation thread on here that goes into it in a transparent, open and public manner.
I will tag all those listed as read (inactive) on the list of top 400 Witnesses, so as to try and get your attention. No other reason and I kindly ask everyone to please understand that this is not in any way, manner or form a "role call".
If there is anyone who is no longer with us (passed away), I am sorry to mention you, however as stated, I am going by the list as is.
Every one of us here on Steemit makes decisions as individuals and these people at one stage in their community efforts here went forwards and got a Witness server up and running.
Some may be waiting to get their server announced, in which case I apologize. Please try and appreciate that the list doesn't specify details, it merely lists the servers out there. NHF.
I sincerely hope that this attempt to talk about what no one talks about can open up some new horizons out there, that it may in some way ensure that we can all learn from one anothers experiences and trails of thoughts.
