Did you know that Facebook grew in large part due to that little like button and the red notification displayed against their blue background?
Turns out, they pulled these ideas from the casino industry. These little tricks release dopamine in your brain and are like an internal reward system for using their platform.
I upvote A LOT. I’m very liberal with my upvoting. There’s no benefit to being stingy! It’s no skin off my back and is like a high five to other users that’ll encourage them to keep posting, voting and being engaged. As Facebook has shown, this will encourage more use. Done positively, it’ll help develop a sense of community and mutual interest. As that grows so does the value of steem and SPN!
With Facebook, these tricks have led to some negative societal consequences, whereas with Sapien, we can effectively use them to make the world a slightly better place. It’s something at stake design rewards good actors and punishes the bad. We can help to reduce depression and vitriol simply by using and helping migrate the world onto a system designed to reduce trolls and fake news like Sapien. While this may not solve all the worlds problems, it’s a step in the right direction.
All you have to do is upvote-A LOT.
Comments are great too, but a little more time-consuming. So I figure just voting is good enough if commenting isn’t your thing. All you have to do is scroll down the page and vote. It’s quick and easy. Why don't you try it with this post? 🤣 Ha ha
It's a small investment of time that can pay off big time down the line!
