A year ago on Steemit
Somewhat finished a year prior, I found Steemit, and attempted it for a couple of months. Sadly the outcomes were somewhat debilitating. Presents earned next on nothing (every so often it was quite nothing), and my vote was worth about nothing as well - despite having put resources into some Steem Power. As I composed at the time, I simply needed my vote to cause an unmistakable uptick, i.e. be worth no less than 1 penny.
The circumstance at the time was that lone a modest bunch of individuals had votes that really made a difference. I saw posts with around a hundred votes notwithstanding neglecting to rub a Dollar together, while others, apparently arbitrary posts that weren't any better, became wildly successful in light of the fact that a whale had upvoted them.
Everything appeared to be fairly trivial, more like a lottery, where a whale vote implied winning the lottery. I sort of lost intrigue and proceeded onward to different things.
Coming back to Steemit
In any case, after numerous long stretches of inertia, I as of late came back to look at Steemit once more.
Gratefully things seem to have improved generally. Changes to the way voting power is ascertained for example, made for some more Steemers with an important vote, and consequently more conveyance of creator rewards.
