It's hard to believe it's been 5 years since we launched our media (originally as Winnipeg Alternative Media) at a fundraiser to get fluoride out of the tap water. Strange how thing adapt and grow.
Going back to 2007, all I wanted to do was educate people after seeing the likes of Ron Paul, Dan Dicks of Press For Truth, Luke Rudkowski of We Are Change and Adam Kokesh. Those 4 people inspired me. But instead of watching them and wishing I could do what they do, I finally had the courage in 2013 to put everything down and just do it.
What are you doing with your life if it's not fulfilling you? The last thing you need is to be on your death bed many many years from now, looking back and tell yourself "I wish I could have done more."
What would you rather? To be laying there saying "I regret I did that." or "I regret I did nothing when I had the chance"?
If what you do in life does not make you happy you simply shouldn't do it. There's nothing more crucial than to live your life to the fullest. It's your entire purpose. You aren't here for nothing.
Now, the last 5 years have been a blur. I can't say I've done everything. I certainly haven't. I've barely done anything. But I've worked my butt off to do as much as I humanly could in that time and that's what matters most. From confronting world "leaders" to interviewing some of the biggest names in the liberty and monetary community. From producing documentaries to making people smile. From travelling to crazy places throughout the world to answering to you the viewer. And most notably, doing an incredible number of hard hitting reports with my good friend John Sneisen @TheEconomicTruth without whom I would not be where I am today, nor would WAM as a whole.
One of the most incredible parts about this job is going back to that which inspired me most and realizing today that I get to work with all of those people. Dr. Paul, Dan Dicks, Luke Rudkowski and Adam Kokesh in one way or another.
I've got to spend time with Ron Paul, interview him, help him get gigs.
I've stayed at Dan Dicks' house and worked on countless videos! (There's also a big announcement coming up most likely. Cannot say yet.)
I'm doing a weekly show on We Are Change with Luke and I've got to write for the website as well. I've also taught a class with Luke and Dan at Anarchapulco!
I've done interviews with Kokesh from jail. Probably close to a dozen interviews with him in total. I've spent a lot of time with him and even inspired him to do crazy things!
Now all that aside, I've gotten to meet thousands of amazing individuals who are inspired in one way or another. Unbelievably passionate people who give a damn. People willing to give it all up to change the world. To leave the world in a better place than when they entered and that is so incredibly important.
Those people have changed my life. Those people are you the people. Our viewers. We would be absolutely nothing without you.
When the system comes collapsing in on itself, there's nothing more important than educating the masses. What use is any of this if we just repeat the same old problems of the past? The Hegelian Dialectic of "problem, reaction, solution, repeat."
With great understanding of our surroundings, of individual liberty, of freedom, or the past, present and future, we truly can be unstoppable. Liberty will prevail and we shall have peace on Earth.
And that's what it's all about.
We couldn't thank you enough for the half a decade. Now, on to the next! We're working hard 24/7. No rest for us. Let's make this happen. ;)
