I see this was from 2 years ago and drafting is still not added to the platform. I'm trying really hard to like Steemit compared to other blogs (Medium) but it needs a lot of work to be as easy to use (Medium.) I'm still drafting in Medium or elsewhere and then copying and pasting to here. "The Markdown Styling Guide" might be something coders are used to (or maybe not?) but most writers of anything nontechnical are going to stay away until its as easy as any other word processor. I know I'm not a fan so far either. I say this as I just spent several hours over the phone trying to get my Dad started up using Medium. (The concept of running multiple tabs was something new to him just using Internet Explorer!) I'm not even going to tell him about Steemit as "the blockchain" is just way over his head and still, admittedly, over mine in many ways too. I have high hopes for Steemit and all things blocky though so I hope these issues are solved soon. Being first is great but being second and better is where success is often found, especially with tech. Someone is going to make this as easy to use as Medium soon enough. If its not Steemit then Steemit is going to become a dinosaur. If anyone knows of any other block-based blogger let me know! Thanks!
