Another late night, Steemit! I’m back on here before bed to share photos I took last night at ’s bonfire. As I mentioned in last night’s blog post “Dark pinup at the Umbrella Company!”, we made good on our Minneapolis Steemit introductions video shoot. The turn out was great. I can’t wait to edit and share it with the community. Post-shoot,
graciously invited us to his place for a bonfire for some crypto-fellowship.
I was mentally and creatively exhausted after that day long shoot schedule. Backyard time with friends was exactly what I needed. When we arrived, and
we’re already there. The sun was just about down and
stood on the sidelines impressed with
’s axe swinging skills. My ten years in Boy Scouts recognized a teepee fire when I saw it and we were off.
showed up and gave me this disapproving glance, which I’ll have you all know is the exact same face he makes when something unpleasant befalls him. If you cast Saheeli’s Artistry and copy your Torrential Gearhulk twice, then cast Skywhaler’s Shot and Grip Of Desolation from your graveyard for free…I guarantee this is the face you will get.
experienced another crypto-milestone yesterday. A little over a week ago, I helped him set up a Bitpay account and we ordered him the card. It had come in the mail that morning so between shooting, we activated that motherfucker and transferred his available SBD through
to his Bitpay wallet. By the time we’d all reconvened at
’s, his funds were available. In one fell swoop, he had more money available than a slow day reading cards and palms at the shop! I personally feel the most important step in converted non-crypto-muggle’s to the ways of the blockchain token is to have them buy something tangible. That was where I crossed the believe threshold so I take great pleasure in walking friends through that process.
arrived and spent most the night on her phone talking about motorcycles.
crashed the party with pipe cleaners which began spontaneous 3D art creation.
with a representation of the Leo sign […which I approve of because I am also a Leo].
made a cute little finger puppet bunny, and
with an elaborate lemur mask.
We made S’mores and harassed
a fair amount. He must get that from me because I can’t help myself giving
a hard time constantly. Some great one liners left us all laughing like when the children asked what time it was and
replied with “…there’s no such thing as time.”, followed abruptly by me saying “Don’t listen to him, kids! He’s going to be living in a van soon.” […more on that life decision in
’s recent blog “Look Out World! ‘Bout To Get Nomadic & Cinematic… =)”.
Rounding out a fun night, showed up as we were packing up the graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate.
has a timeframe where he melts and becomes an emotionally fragile mess and we were pushing that curfew. I gave
a quick private screening of the hilarious crypto-gangster street shot I was working on, then made our way home.
It was a great night, and not as much Steemit talk as usual when we’re all together. Still, big crazy ideas, like ’s proposal that we all strap together rafts in a calm sea near the Bermuda Triangle and live on seaweed and eels, but the crypto stuff took second fiddle for a change, which was nice. These are all great people and STEEM, Bitshares, ETH, EOS tends to be the default conversation, but a change of pace the Steemit community brought together nearby friends to be just that. Thanks for hosting
.
Not as engaging as lingerie models, but I do write things like this occasionally and there’s nothing you can do about it. If you’re here for the models in lingerie, tune in tomorrow. I’m sure there will be more of that. Either way, follow me at ! Good night, folks!
