Persian Hummus Munchies
By: Free The Weed In Texas
Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas
1/3 cup tahini
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 garlic clove
6 kalamata olives (pitted)
1/3 cup feta cheese
Of course, the taste will depend on the quality of the food in which you buy to make your food with. I always do my best to buy natural, organic or something imported from the Middle East.
Directions:
Take everything but the olives and feta, mix it in a blinder, puree, for about 1 minute. You want to make sure you blend it extremely well. Then, put in the olives and feta, blend again for another 45 seconds to one minute. Take a silicone spatula, or something similar and spread it out on your dipping dish. Finally, add a little olive oil to the top, as well as, one olive and some feta (as pictured) and you're done!
To dip, I take pita bread, cut it up in to chip size, lightly glaze olive oil over the bread and some seasoning if you like, toss in the oven for 5 minutes at 400 degrees and you have the best chips to dip with ever. ENJOY!
