Oh yes, most of us know that feeling! :) Someone tries to do something they feel is very positive, a benefit to STEEMIT, and not even one Whale will give it a little boost - this makes one feel as if something is very wrong in the STEEMIT UNIVERSE. It is not only about the money (although that feels nice!), it is what it does for your work in the eyes of other users - they feel confident that their upvote is going to something worthy - when a post lingers and dies at the sub-$2.00 level, people will think it was lacking for some reason, and most often will not bother to examine the contents.
Circumstances have changed in recent days, with the value of STEEM fallen well below $1.00 - The Whales must be starting to worry about how long they are going to be Whales, because their entire eco-system feels as if it is in jeopardy. I don't know about you, but STEEMIT SPIRIT seems to have fallen significantly as well.
We can always just give up and walk away right? The thing is, we will be the only one that loses if we do so .. unless this happened en masse, it would not be noticed - I do believe if things do not change this is a very real possibility - many will just throw in the towel, and they will not have good things to say about STEEMIT upon their exit, which will deter new users.
The alternative is to stay, and continue fighting to be heard - move forward and do whatever we can, with whatever we have, with whatever blessings we receive.
WE MUST DO JUST THAT!
