Last year, when I was pregnant waiting for my daughter Eve to join us in this windy stormy world, I read an article about a village in India which plants 111 trees for the birth of all baby girls. I pledged to do the same, whether she be boy or girl. This year, we planted almost 700 trees here at Lunasi - Mainly Oaks (5 kinds), Sycamore, River Birch, & Chestnuts - Here we come, Piggies!! So I've reached my goal and then some, which I am feeling quite proud of, if I do say so myself!
111 Followers in the 1st Month on Steemit! 111+ Trees for Eve! 1 Year of life to celebrate this week as she almost walks boldly into the unknown that is this life that awaits her. May we leave this wild and wondrous world a better place for her, and all children. That is my hope for humanity.
I think there is a huge potential here on Steemit to leverage the collective brilliance toward nothing short of planetary regeneration. I'm just trying to do my part over here in the Endless Mountains. Just sayin'...
