A Fanbase is something content creators such as i or yourself possess based on the different content we create. In short they are people who follow our works and respect them by (commenting, upvoting, resteeming ) and all that jazz. This certain 'fanbases' exist because of their enjoyment of the content 'we' put forward.
For example if i dedicated my blog's to only photography and gaming i would have a fan base of 2 different fanbases who want different things, the photography fanbase would like me to post pictures of amazing sights that i post, while gaming fans would like to read my guides on certain games such as dota 2, they would want to know my opinions on different news from the gaming world etc.
It's important to post content you want your 'fanbase' to enjoy rather than posting popular content as this will make you known for things you don't enjoy working on and will attract a fanbase which is completly different to what you seek.
However i have already covered the topic of sticking to your desired content so i would like the discuss the opposite side of the coin, the importance to responding to your fanbase to encourage them and show support.
Because no fanbase wants to be ignored and constantly unable to speak to their content creator they follow about their opinions and certain theories as to why they disagree or agree with you. This is fullfilled by things like responding to comment' s on your post's which you should always try to do in order to establish a certain 'bond' between your viewers which will encourage them to view your content and upvote, resteem and all that.
If you constantly ignore your fanbase you don't deserve to have one in my opinion as the majority of their entertainment is in fact the way they are delivered replies to their questions that they seek to be answered etc.
Key Lesson Of The Day : Respect your following, Always try to make them stay 'your fanbase' and don't ignore them, but answer them!
If you enjoy the content i create as always feel free to :
