Ten months ago I endured a barrage of harassment and flags over my views on @papa-pepper, but are the haters still around?
No!
Steemit managed to purge them and almost every other undesirable in one night dubbed: HF20. Not since MySpace have I seen such a successful cleansing, but MySpace did it all wrong.
Tom purged anyone who was more popular people than him, but Tom’s blunder was not asking the hard questions like: Who the fuck would want to be friends with Tom?
Steemit took a completely different approach, for obvious reasons, they made it so that the wrong-type-of-people could no longer post, comment or vote.
At first I was offended, because I too was caste aside just for being an ex-con, but after reading numerous articles I can see the value in the cleansing.
Ten months ago user engagement was too damn high, it was so bad that the wrong-types-of-people would literally post complaints on good-people’s posts.
Ugh…
Just the thought of it makes me sick!
Anyways, congrats on finally coming up with a good solution for removing the untouchables. I bought some SP and plan to buy more, so I never get lumped into that category again.
