I raised my eyebrows too when I saw that post. Without doing all the math, it sounded too good to be true.
People like myself, that haven't been around very long on Steemit, don't really know what happened before they joined. Part of the white paper is outdated, but I didn't know that when I read it for the first time.
So for example, I wasn't aware of the changes that were made to the Steem allocation with the December Hard Fork until I read your post, just now.
I wish there was an easy way to see what the current state is of how the distribution of Steam works, and which steps were taken since the publication of the white paper. Like a quick-start guide on the history of Steemit.
