The deputy Omar Barboza, said that this law was approved with the aim of consolidating a "transition to democracy" without violating the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic.
"The Draft Statute is the legal and political route for the transition to be possible respecting the constitutional framework, as aspired by the people of Venezuela," he said.
Juan Matheus, parliamentarian for the Primero Justicia party, explained that this law defines in the first place "the cessation of the usurpation" and "the formation of a provisional government".
"Once the usurpation has ceased, the president of the AN will be fully the president in charge, then comes the transition, then we have certainty about the call for elections with a new CNE, certainties with the recovery of assets of the Republic," he explained during Matheus his intervention.
