Hey friends,
I just found out today is MY FIRST MONTH on Steemit!
It’s been a great learning curve, and I plan to be here for a long run…
Why?
It’s very simple: @Ned and @Dan DISRUPTED the concept of social media!
People spend hours every day on Facebook hoping for “likes” after adding content to their news feed, so we all became “unpaid content creators” for FB.
Zuckerberg was so clever when introduced the human need to connect and be “liked” like no other person has done before, and all other social platforms followed this model extracting billions in revenue from user’s content and creativity.
Except Youtube, all that money never went back to the users until a VISION grew into something larger: @Steemit
These giant social networks are still confident that no one can knock them from their positions since it takes a lot of resources, developers, moderators etc to compete with them, but the emergence of the blockchain changed the game by escalating the operation very quickly!
The economic cost is handled through the blockchain miners, and new users are attracted because the platform will actually pay them for their content creation instead of receiving unpaid "likes"
So, I don't know about you, but I can see a near future where entrepreneurs from all over the world will leverage and integrate Steemit as an open publishing platform.
It not only will become the future of social media, but a publisher brand as well.
I never believed in the quote: "The sky is the limit", and I don't think there are limits for @STEEMIT
P.S. If you are a newbie like me, I encourage you follow and learn more about Steemit from these people:
