Bitcoin
has soared back to 5517 USD per Btc. Current Steem prices has dropped below the 40 cents. There are several methods I can think of that can buffer this.
Diversify to other Cryptos. You can do this using blocktrades in your wallet. Some of the Cryptos I think can be invested are Etheruem, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Stellar.
The amount of Steem I have mind that I plan to accumulate which is roughly 1500 SP which I am going to invest in different areas whether by delegation, investments in Dapps and etc. Any amount of Steem earnt after the 1500 SP would be converted to other Cryptos. I am looking at it as a long term five to ten year plan. It's gonna be my one year on Steem pretty soon in a couple of months time. I wonder how much SP, Steem and reputation I would have in another five years time. With this in mind, I have not cashed out any Steem for the last two months to align with this goal. I think it's going to be much bigger than it is.
My other strategy is to reinvest and compound the Steem in our account. You can delegate out your Steem which let's you earn Steem daily. Check out the different dapps at Steem dapps. There are some other dapps I recently found which is built on the Ethereum platform that let's you earn compounded income. I haven't really explored much into that area.
If your a foodie, try out [Tasteem] (Tasteem.io) which you can use to post food that you have eaten weekly and join contest. Do however, follow their posting guide. The upvotes are pretty good.
Check out Minnowbooster for Steem delegation, Investments and so on.
Don't get too discouraged if you see the Steem prices drop. A few months ago, it dipped to the 25 cents mark and has since risen back to 50 cents this year at its highest price point and now correcting back to 39 cents at the moment.
