Like many of you last night, I kept a close eye on the price of Steem. It was fun to watch the price finally cross back into the $4 price range.
When I started blogging on Steemit, the price of Steem was hovering around .50 cents. I kept hearing how fast it had risen to $4 and I was excited to write on a monetized blog platform.
Now, one year later, and this dolphin on Steemit is seeing some nice returns. I became curious what the average blog earns, and I went digging on google.
What I found, is that a Steemit dolphin is in the top 5% of blog earners in the world. The average blog earns $3.50 a day and the top 5% are between $1,000-$10,000 USD a month
That knowledge blew me away, and made me all the more thankful for what we have in Steemit. Not only do we not have to deal with Google AdWords or advertisers, but we are earning a currency that is increasing in value.
The opportunities are continuing to increase as well. Steemit is becoming a personal bank as we are able to lend our Steem Power, and earn interest from Banking our SBD with reputable whales.
I don’t know about you, but 2017 has been a good year, and I am looking forward to 2018 all the more. Let that 3 figure Steem price come swiftly.
