If you are here you are presumably new to the platform and doesn't matter how many posts with advice you are reading you will commit the same newbie mistakes, but in this post, I will help you to avoid rookie mistakes so you can progress faster than normal
USE HTML NO MATTER WHAT
HTML will help you to increase quality with better image and text placement. The HTML you need for steemit is basic, but it really helps. I use this editor and I've seen a pretty good change in my posts
In brief, always look for a way to be more efficient, you might spend time looking for more productive ways to write your posts, but in the long term it will help you a lot
BE WISE! BE DIFFERENT!
Don't do the same others are doing. In my case #Spanish is filled with posts about Venezuela, I did very good posts indeed, they are different and are touching the topic from another angle, but on the outside, they were the same and my posts were a total failure even when I put effort on them
Honestly, don't do this, you must master the difference between something that is just slightly better and something that is absolutely original and new. This also applies to the use of tactics, don't use the same tactics everyone is using
SET IMPOSSIBLE GOALS!
No matter what you must push yourself to the limit, think it this way; If you are capable of doing 6 pull-ups and you set the goal at doing 20 pull-ups you might not do 20, but for sure you will do 10 or 12, far exceeding your current capabilities
It is the same on steemit, set impossible goals and struggle to accomplish them, I swear that you will become more productive. If you have free time study about Elon Musk management style and you will understand this concept way better, there are plenty of videos on YouTube

The Greatest Teacher, Others Failure is
Finally, adopt others failure as your own and don't ignore the content that is discarded by the community, read it, study it, and compare it with most thriving blogs, this way you will avoid the same rookie mistakes everyone does
And even more important, don't ignore this kind of posts, internalize the advice that is given to you by the community, kept it present at all times, pay attention to small details and you will succeed
