It’s just in my nature to poke my nose in to everything I see and try to find out how it is done. Today was no different and I came across a very curious account. I say account and not steemian because this account does not have any followers, did not make any posts or is being followed!
What’s more this account has withdrawn 5370 steem in the last four months to their Bittrex trading account.
I delved deeper into how he was able to make such a tidy income on Steemit without have to post or even upvote and I wanted to copy. I wanted to be rich and follow in the footsteps of successful steemians.
What I found was just too easy, get other steemians to make a transfer of steem to you and this is exactly what he did. Many, and I mean many steemians transfer approximately 32 Steem to this account. I wondered why would they make this transfer? It definitely wasn’t because he produced good contents because like I said, he made zero posts. Was it because of a service that he provided?
I delved even deeper going into the rabbit hole like Alice in Wonderland ever more curious to see where that rabbit will end up taking me. I looked at the accounts making the transfer and found they were all also set up about 4 months ago.
Upon studying these account further, I noticed that they were immediately set to start power down of 35.255 steem. I believe this is the start steem that come with every account when the account is activated. I looked at the many different accounts and lo and behold I found the same modus operandi.
I counted the number of transfer made to this account and based on the number of transfer and average transfers made the sum total matched the total withdrawal of approximately 5370 steem.
I surmise that someone familiar with programming have written a script to take advantage of the free introduction steem that comes with every new account.
Damn, why didn’t I take computer studies when I went to university!
I’m just letting off Steem, if you found this post informative then UPVOTE (with FULL POWER), COMMENT, FOLLOW and especially RESTEEM.
I wrote this article myself and it expresses my own opinions. Computer literacy is crucial in this day and age. Just because someone tells you it is good does not mean that it is good for you.
