It's been a year since I graduated in Senior High School. I still remember that this photo was taken on July 2017. This one photo contains the different expressions of my classmates: an expression of joy, strength, pain, longing and dreams.
I belonged in a Humanities class with 53 classmates gifted with amazingly diverse personalities. Back then, we were called as St. Magdalene of Nagasaki students. In a class, we can't avoid to stand on different opinions and ideas and that's the typical reason why we sometimes burst out in misunderstanding. My two years together with these people was great and a memory worthy of keeping. We had dealt with pain, disagreement, face to face confrontation and hardships. But at the end of the day, we always look forward to set goals and accomplish the tasks together.
One of our highlight moments as class was when we made our own version of the song "Baby Shark" that went viral in our school and made the other classes to do the same thing. From then on, we named our class section as baby sharks.
Being with them was such a great chapter of my life. I'd learned to understand and accept people's tantrums and bad sides. Through them, I'd realized that there is more to life than problems, hatred and sadness. I'm always reminded to be strong through our class song which is an Original Pilipino Song (OPM), "Tuloy parin ang awit ng buhay ko, magbago man ang hugis ng puso mo. Handa akong hamunin ang ating mundo, pag tuloy parin ......" This song plays a crucial part in me especially when I'm tested by life's challenges. With them, I'd learned to love with no judgment and care with no difference.
Now, we are walking into different paths. I'm praying to meet them halfway on our individual journey, and may all our dreams will come true. With God's grace, we can be somebody that we wish to be in the future time.
