Without mincing words, the Steemit initiative represents an acceptable platform which connects individuals of diverse states or countries of the world, in their Search for a better life, through utilizing their sense of creativity and organization in amassing given benefits, in the form of upvotes and comments, through the construction of acceptable articles and contents which captures the mind of other members of the community.
Consequently, this has given room for the development of diverse strategies in order to stay active on the platform. But in the midst of all these, the bottom line remains that the success of a particular individual is dependent on the support given by other members of the steemit community. This however implies that the community is that of interdependence and that, no individual can be totally successful without receiving the cooperation and support of others.
But on the contrary, what baffles me most is the desperateness exhibited by most individuals in their quest to accumulate high upvotes and comments. Most times, you realize that some individuals wish to get your upvotes in order to stay higher but feels unconcerned in reciprocating the gesture offered them. Another painful aspect of the participation on this platform bothers on the stingyness attached by some members of the steemit community in voting other people's posts and comments. In this case, you realize that a certain post may be viewed by 50 members or participants whereas the total upvotes on the same post is showing 12, with no meaningful comments.
This is highly antithetical to the goals of the platform and does not connote cooperation and support, which poses as vital aspects of individual realization of goals on the Steemit Community. In a nutshell, this wonderful platform will unarguably emerge as a force to reckon with in the realization of our individual and collective goals if only we can put our interests aside and work collectively as a group, bearing in mind that no one can succeed without the cooperation and support from others.
