I’ve been a member of this community for about 2 weeks, but I just started posting 3 days ago.
At first, I was so skeptical about joining. I have so many social media sites that I don’t open anymore, so why add another one?
The thing is I got interested with cryptocurrency, and I am quite intrigued about it. So what a better way to see it’s potential than by starting for free.
In my 3 days here in Steemit, I like that:
1. There is a solid community
Everyone is just so welcoming. It feels like you are a transferee from another University, and everyone just loves you on your first day?
Yeah, it felt like that.
There is discord and steemit chat where people just love to share what they know. They are teaching the newbies, far and beyond what is asked of them.
Thank you to everyone who walks me through the process before I started and after I posted my first blog. It felt amazing to finally share something you work hard for.
Met a bunch of friends on this platform.
2. It will make you love writing
I’ve always been a lover of words. I can live a day just being in a hammock and reading a book.
I am always fond of writing too. In My travels, I have a journal of places that I’ve been to. Little notes that would remind me how happy I am to be there at that moment.
I don’t share them with anyone. I hope I could but I thought no one would be interested.
Steemit just gave me an avenue to do just that. To clear my head and just talk to a blank page. Without thinking of other people.
3. Someone is reading my work
I always dreamed of having my own blog and people who would say they get something out of it.
Well, I started one… and as much as I love writing, it doesn’t stop just there.
Marketing it takes my energy and focus. It’s like having 10 jobs on top of it. Writing, formatting, posting on all social media, SEO… you named it!
Steemit just removed all that barrier to entry.
I just write and post, and people start to comment and I get to interact with people who read my work.
It’s an amazing feeling that you have an audience who follows what your next article will be.
4. I learn a lot of new things every day
There are so many posts that you see every second. They don’t stop on popping, and if there is something you are interested in, you can just stalk on the writer and read for hours.
It’s crazy how many great creators there are in the community. From different sorts of background, writing things that you don’t even know exists.
I love looking at the tags and the trending topics. It’s like looking into the future.
5. You make money while doing what you usually do
Money is just a bonus of what Steemit is all about. The better your content and the more consistent you are, people will reward you for that, and you will know it by the dollars.
Even better is, you get paid in cryptocurrency. So the dollar potential value can get even higher!
Isn’t Steemit Amazing?! It’s the next best thing after Bacon. So invite more people so they can see the magic of this community.
