DATE : 8 / 26 / 2016: STEEM not invested in SteemPower henceforth referred to as : LIQUID STEEM
Liquid STEEM numbers rose today by 10194 . The price of STEEM as of this posting was $1.01. That is 0.98% below yesterday's price at this posting time . Yesterday's price was $1.02 (Bittrex ) and todays is $1.01 ( Bittrex ) . This is a modest drop in price compared to what we have been witnessing .
Study closely the spreadsheet and charts below. I will try to update 6 days a week.

The total number of LIQUID STEEM increased today from 5,537,524 yesterday to 5,547,718 today . That's an increase today of 10194 LIQUID STEEM .
In the chart below you can see the STEEM price as the red line and the total number of LIQUID STEEM as the blue column.

NOTE: In the chart below the blue column rose above the zero line again today and that is NOT what we want to see . In my opinion the number of LIQUID STEEM needs to decrease in order for the price of STEEM to increase in value .
In the chart below you can see the STEEM price as the red line and the daily increase or decrease of LIQUID STEEM as the blue column.

In the chart below you can see we have been in a steady downtrend since July 13 , 2016 . The price today remains in the middle of the upper and lower trend lines .

SUMMARY :
It is my opinion as the price of STEEM continues to fall it will reach a point where the powering down will slow and the buying STEEM and powering up will increase . From the simple fact that those wanting to power up can buy a lot more STEEM at $1.01 than they could at 2.08 just 20 days ago . But the $64000 question is in 20 days from today will the price of STEEM be $0.50 or $1.50 ? Even though LIQUID STEEM increased today the total number of LIQUID STEEM is still 7.47% below its highest level ( see chart # 2 ) on 8 / 22 / 2016 .
One thing that concerns me is will the number of LIQUID STEEM increase to new high levels when STEEMIT ( the company ) powers down again . That should happen some time on 8 / 29 / 2016 .

Can anyone explain to me why the value of 1M VESTS fell $28.67 today when the price of STEEM only fell $0.01 ?
Here is why I think 1M VESTS fell by $28.67 is because it goes off a 7 day avg price of STEEM .
