Less than four days ago, the global giant of the information technology industry announced that it suspended the BTC payments available for digital products offered by it in Microsoft and Xbox stores. Today, it is already known that this was a temporary move.
In an interview published today in the news.com.au portal, Microsoft's spokeswoman explains that the momentary suspension of bitcoin payments was dictated by "technical" reasons.
Microsoft has resumed bitcoin payments in its store after making sure, in cooperation with its payment provider, that its customers will be able to carry out small BTC payments.
This was not the first such case since the introduction of this type of service in 2014.
In 2016, the Microsoft website issued a statement that the company resigned from BTC payments. A day later, her representatives apologized for the "unintentional" inclusion of erroneous information on the site.
