Being new I don't really fully understand all these strategies on voting and curating, but I do believe the focus should be on building a great platform with quality information.
This is what drew me in and I have been somewhat disappointed by the large amount of posts that aren't really quality at all, if even the author's own work!
Humanity disappoints me all the time, and I should be used to it now and not expect better! But it is hope and expecting the good that keeps us motivated to create better.
So my opinion is that good quality should be rewarded, that is what Steemit is being promoted as and if that is the aim then that should be the focus or Steemit will become a mass of posts, lacking true originality and quality, that no one wants to read!
So I've just checked out steemian.com and now I am confused, because it looks to me like this is app or some kind of automation that allows people to earn curation awards whilst they sleep?
How can this be for the good of Steemit? What is the point of anyone posting anything is an app is going to curate and real people are not going to learn and change their behaviour and create a better world from the posts they read?
If this is correct then I am shocked that the founders of Steem have allowed this to happen.
