The Steemit Social Media Ecosystem (Part 1)
Today, we use platforms like Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, other social media and chat platforms and job search engines. When I get a double-tap on Insta 100 times on a photo I won't lie I get pretty excited. You know what excites me even more? When my photo on Steepshot gets a "like" or an "upvote".
Why?
Because I get paid.
Equivalents to the "centralized" internet economy within the "decentralized" Internet 2.0
Within Internet 2.0, you'll find a plethora of un-censored, ad-free, community driven, and transparent societal platforms. Steemit is one of many platforms emerging within the decentralized universe (the "Dverse"). Below are my favorite Steemit-related and Decentralized Equivalents to other pre-existing centralized website services. Some of these websites connect to Steemit in a sense that if you post to them, it'll show up on your Steemit feed and you can earn Steem on those platforms too!
We're going to go through the equivalents of the following platforms in:
