In a few days, I am one year here on Steemit.
If someone had told me that I would be still around in the way I am, I would have doubted it.
In the beginning, I was curious about the promise of a social network that pays you. It was tempting because I have a blogger past and that combined with cryptocurrency was something I had to try.
Soon I realized that there is a lot to learn about this platform. Later I understood that it is more learning about the STEEM Blockchain itself.
I wasn't sure that's why it took a bit before I invested a small amount of money. I started blogging and met new and exciting people. During that time I learned more and more about the STEEM Blockchain.
Then a time came where I wanted to be a bit more serious. With that I mean I wanted to be at least a dolphin. I collected enough trust to make this move and when it wouldn't work; it would be not a problem at all. Because I could afford it to lose.
Most of the time here on Steemit and later Dtube and recently Dlive I swam as a dolphin. In the beginning, there was no significant change in my eyes. It took some time as I noticed that my curation rewards increased 😁
I learned more and made deeper and new connection with people.
There were also times where I was utterly inactive because of my profession. Coming back after a particular time was always exciting.
No one knows where this ship will go. The wrong promises of; Get Rich Quick via Steemit are definitely false and draw a wrong picture. Even now everything is in beta, but we already saw some innovative movements which could give a taste of what this blockchain with the right people is capable of. But no one knows precisely where we all will be in few months or a year. But I am glad to be a part of it and to experience the journey of the whole.
During the year I gained more and more trust and invested more and more into Steempower. For me, this could be one of the most valuable assets in the future.
What I like compared to other assets is that STEEMPOWER can work for you even when you are not active. There are several ways, and yes, I know that not everyone is happy with that. And I respect that. On the other hand, I respect those who use that kind of possibilities including myself.
For example, during my preseason it was good to know that my Steempower is working for me.
And now I am standing close to become an Orca. Yes, most of it is invested not earned. And this step for me is much more severe. As I said above, I believe if the STEEM blockchain succeeds steempower will be a valuable asset.
Here I want to mention one Steemian all of you probably know.
is someone who teaches people about the blockchain, and he shares his vision he has for this blockchain, not in a fake promising way. No, what he says everyone has to filter and decide for himself if these pieces of information are trustworthy. But for me, they make sense.
In my cryptocurrency portfolio, STEEM is the only one I use regularly. It has a use case within the community. I am dealing with it on a daily basis. But nevertheless its a risk and an act of faith. We are playing on the uncertain ground. Time will tell if this is indeed a lifetime opportunity which comes maybe only once in life.
My goal is to accumulate as much SP as I can and to use it not just for me. And honestly, it should also be your goal when you have faith. For that I am more active again I use my power differently, and what I exactly mean by that I will show you in my next post.
