Babies are children of humans or animals that are very young. When the baby has started walking, called a toddler. Generally the term baby is given to a human child under 12 months of age, but definitions in various places may vary, some even up to 2 years. In the context of medicine, infants younger than 28 days are called neonates (from neonatal Latin, "newly born"). [1] The term premature infant and postmature baby refers to babies born with unusual duration of pregnancy. The unborn baby is called the fetus (fetus).
